FAQ

Our camps welcome riders from intermediate to advanced levels. As long as you can ride upwind and relaunch your kite confidently, you’re ready to join! This camp is ideal if you’re aiming to learn new tricks or elevate your big air skills. We also have 2 spots available for beginners.

Yes, bringing your own gear is recommended to ensure comfort on the water. If you don’t have everything, no worries—you can rent the necessary equipment for the week at one of the schools in Langebaan if your level is suitable for rentals.

Note: This plan is a flexible guide, so expect adjustments based on wind conditions and the group’s vibe each day!
Day 1: Welcome to the Crew!

  • Morning/Afternoon: Arrive, grab your airport ride, and settle into your new home in Langebaan.
  • Evening: Meet the squad at a relaxed dinner spot where we’ll go over what to expect for the week (and size up your fellow riders). Transfers available from the afternoon until dinner.

Day 2: Gearing Up and Getting Wet

  • Morning: Let’s get your gear ready at the kite spot with some adjustments and recommendations.
  • Afternoon: After a theory session at the house and a yoga warm-up, it’s time for your first water session. We’ll focus on your personal goals and getting comfortable with the conditions.

Day 3: Ride, Film, Repeat

  • Morning/Afternoon: Start the day with a quick lesson and yoga warm-up. Then, hit the water for a full day of customized coaching.
  • Filming: We’ll capture every moment for later analysis.
  • Evening: Watch the footage during a video analysis session, celebrating your progress and having a laugh at some wipeouts.

Day 4: Change of Scenery – Hermanus

  • Morning: Pack up for a day trip to Hermanus! Enjoy a theory session and yoga warm-up before tackling the new spot.
  • Full Day: Dive into a full day of riding and exploring the different conditions.
  • Evening: Return to Langebaan to relax and share stories from the day.

Day 5: Adventure Time in Cape Town

  • Morning/Afternoon: Take a break or join in on optional Cape Town adventures—hike Table Mountain, visit downtown, or explore the Aquarium.
  • Evening: Dinner at Mojo Market, where the food and atmosphere are top-notch.

Day 6: Blouberg, Here We Come!

  • Morning/Afternoon: Test your skills in Blouberg’s famous conditions! Start with a theory session and yoga warm-up before spending the day on the water.

Day 7: Downwind Daze

  • Morning/Afternoon: A briefing and yoga session prepare us for a downwind run—Shark Bay to Langebaan or, for the adventurous, Sunset Beach to Big Bay.
  • Evening: Enjoy a city night out, including a volleyball event in Cape Town.

Day 8: Recharge and Refocus

  • Morning: Take it slow and recover.
  • Afternoon: Join us for another coaching session, starting with theory and light stretches, then back on the water to refine your skills.

Day 9: Push Your Limits

  • Morning: A quick theory refresh and yoga session precede another day of high-intensity coaching.
  • Evening: Return to Langebaan for our final group dinner, celebrating all we’ve achieved together.

Day 10: Farewells

  • Morning/Afternoon: Time to pack up and say your goodbyes. Airport transfers are arranged, but don’t leave before capturing some final photos with the crew.

  • Flights to Cape Town (but we can help arrange them!)
  • Kiteboarding gear (rentals available if needed)
  • Lunches and dinners (explore local spots or have a light meal at the guesthouse)
  • Personal travel insurance (recommended for extreme sports coverage)

We chose Langebaan for its reliable winds, but weather can be unpredictable. In case of a windless day, we’ll have backup activities like surfing, wakeboarding, or exploring the Cape of Good Hope. You’ll still gain insights through theory sessions and video analysis to prepare for the wind’s return.
